  • What is your brand about?
    Salt//Mud is simply put a brand that prioritizes the integration of art and the human touch by making it more accessible to your everyday life through prints or apparel. We focus heavily on balancing a 100% handmade approach and a focus on sustainability.

  • What does "upcycled" mean?
    Upcycled clothing is the process of transforming old, damaged, or discarded garments into higher-quality or more valuable items. Each item of clothing is carefully chosen for its integrity and uniqueness. After that, the designs are carefully curated to create a more custom piece of apparel.

  • Are all your items one-of-a-kind?
    Yes. Our prints are hand carved and printed. No two prints wind up fully identical. The designs on our apparel are chosen specifically to accent best that individual piece of clothing. No two garments will be the same even if they carry the same designs.

  • Where are your products made?
    The entire production process takes place at my in-home studio.

  • How can I stay updated on new drops or events?

Upcycled Clothing

  • How do you source your garments?
    Either through donations or local thrift stores. Each piece is carefully picked by hand.

  • Are your pieces pre-washed?
    Yes, each piece of clothing is washed prior to the printing process.

  • How should I care for my upcycled clothing?
    Wash on cold and dry on low-heat/hang to dry.

  • Do you offer custom or made-to-order pieces?
    Custom work is more than welcomed. If you have any of your personal clothing you would like customized, please feel free to contact us to discuss what options we have.

Printmaking & Artwork

  • What printmaking techniques do you use?
    Linocut printmaking, a form of relief printing where our designs are hand carved into either linoleum or rubber blocks, inked, and then pressed into the paper.

  • Are your prints handmade?
    Yes, each print is hand carved and printed in studio.

  • Can I commission a custom print or design?
    Custom work is more than welcome. Please feel free to contact us should you like to inquire further.

  • How should I care for printed items?
    Avoid keeping the print in direct sunlight for long durations without a UV protective glass preventing natural fading.

Orders & Shipping

  • How long does it take to process an order?
    On average processing will take anywhere from 2-6 business days depending on the product and the drying time.

  • Do you ship internationally?
    Yes.

  • Will I receive tracking information?
    You will receive an email with tracking information as well as notification of shipment.

Returns & Exchanges

  • Do you accept returns or exchanges?
    No, we do not offer returns or exchanges at this time. All sales are final.

  • What if my item arrives damaged?
    Please email us at saltandmudatelier@gmail.com with your order number and images of the damaged product. We will do our best to find the best resolve for you.
